Select Finish

Feeling just as fresh today as when it was first introduced, the recently re-launched Wilkes Modular Sofa Group (1976) combines comfort, clean lines, and durability in playful form, with new colors and fabrics. Nicknamed “Chiclet” because of its rounded-edge cushions’ resemblance to pieces of Chiclet gum, this collection was designed by Ray Wilkes, a self-described minimalist. “The fact is, I like total simplicity,” he says. The “modular” in Modular Sofa Group comes from the original configurations, which could be built up to six seats wide. Today the collection is available as an armchair, two-seat sofa, or three-seat sofa.
