Herman Miller Lispenard Sectional Sofa [on the floor]

Select Finish

Architect Neil Logan designed an earlier version of his Lispenard Sofa Collection (2018) for a discerning art collector who wanted something comfortable but not overstuffed, handsome but not imposing, boxy but also elegantly tailored. The design proved so versatile that Herman Miller decided to put it into production. Lispenard has a very low profile and offers a very relaxing sit thanks to the angled pitch of its seat and back.

  • Low profile with canted back for comfort.
  • Feather-blend cushions.
  • Hardwood legs.

Neil Logan

Neil Logan became an architect almost by accident. “I went to architecture school just out of the blue,” he says. An interest in furniture design grew in part out of a fascination with what he describes as “the gulf between an object in a space and the space itself,” which emerged in his early career as he began building structures and designing interiors – in other words, defining spaces.
