Hee Welling

The son of a cabinetmaker, Hee Welling grew up in his father’s shop, right next to the family home in Denmark. Establishing his own studio in 2003, Welling got his first big break with the Hee Chair from HAY, being made entirely of metal, was quite a departure from the cabinetmaking shop. He went on to design one of Scandinavia's most popular and versatile chairs for HAY, the About A Chair.

• Direct placement on a seafront can lead to corrosion.
• Small scratches or damage to garden furniture with a powder coating can lead to corrosion. Use a special repair lacquer available at one of our stores.
